Laura, Katie, Elvira and I headed off to explore our old hood while Dad stayed with the boats. I think he was glad to walk around without four girls trailing after him, rushing him to the next boat.

Six months after my 30th birthday, I faced acute myelogenous leukemia for the second time. I had a bone marrow transplant October 7, 2008, and I look forward to enjoying many, many more healthy years now that Laura (my sister) gave me the "gift of life", as she keeps referring to it.
