I’m here!!
Written by JKM on August 25th, 2008Morning, everyone!
I know, I know, it’s not morning…it’s 12:30 PM Pacific Time, and we’re just eating breakfast. We went to bed at 1 AM Pacific time, so it was quite a long day! It was a wonderful day, surprisingly…I’ll tell you more about all that when I write again. I best get my butt up, shower, and start getting my apartment in gear (along with the help of my mom and Laura, of course!–well, technically, they do most of the work. ). Just to let you know though, I have a view of the Space Needle from my bedroom, and at the other end of my apartment (when I say “other end”, I make it sound huge, don’t I?! It’s not that big though.), we can see the Hutch (where I’ll get my treatment). There is lots of construction going on around the building, so there’s lots of banging. For a girl used to birds and owls, it’s quite a change! I’m just waiting for my sound machine to arrive so I can drone it all out.
OK, I better get going, but I’ll write more later…maybe today, maybe tomorrow, but we’ll meet again soon! hahaha I’m so dramatic.
Love ya.

That’s awesome that you can see the Space Needle! Remember when Dad kept pointing out how great his view was from his hotel room and how bad Kathy’s view was? :o)
Love ya lots!

I think those boxing gloves were a great idea. I’m visualizing you beating the —- out of those bad cells and being announced the champion with your hands held high above you head. We’re all rooting for you!
Love and hugs from all the Bodnars

Hi Julie - Glad to see your post - I hope your trip out was OK - I missed hearing your voice on the phone today, “Hi - is my mom there - this is Julie” you always say in your sweet tone…. Oh, and I missed your Mom too - tell her I love you and am praying for you (all of you)…. Eileen

I got up at 4am ET for work this morning and I thought, they’re just now getting to bed! Glad it was an uneventful flight out. Can you see the REI building at the top of the hill??
Anitra, your scheduler on the Red team, is away until September 3 but she will be on the lookout for you. And the nurse I mentioned, Joanne Quinn, is up there in long-term follow-up and she has your name, so ask for her if you think of it. She says your assigned nurse, Jackie, is “great”.
The deer in your neighborhood are so tame and Charlotte loves to see deer so much that we’re going to take a dusk drive with her later this week if the weather holds.
You got the view that we wanted, little stinker I think they still do the fireworks there on New Years. It can be the kickoff for your “coming home healed” party!
